Baking Soda Vs. Carpet Cleaner?

My basement recently flooded. I removed the carpet, let it air dry, dried the floors, and put the carpet back down. There is no mold, but the carpet still has a mildew smell to it. Should I use Glade Scented Carpet Cleaner or Baking Soda? Im afraid that if I use the glade that it will only mask the smell. What do you think? Also any other suggestions?
