Abnormal EEG after seizure, MRI findings minimal?
My Mother had her 1st, and only seizure 4 months ago, she had a EEG, The impression was: Abnormal EEG due to intermittent right temporal sharp forms. Her MRI findings were: A small perivascular space is seen in the rt basal ganglia. there is a few punctate non enhancing foci in the front white matter and can be seen in chronic small vessel ischemic change. Everything else is normal and clear. She is not on any meds as the nurse practitioner (Dr was no longer there) said it was up to her if she wanted to go on meds. She told her it was due to stress.....give me your opinions please.
