This stupid magic trick??

On the episode of Full House with the telethon, they do this trick where Joey puts Becky in a box, sticks in 2 knives - 1 below her neck and one above her legs and then he pulls the midsection part out so it's off to the side. How does he do it??? They show the back and everything and I just dont get it!!
